Networking computers together using a router to
share files and a high speed Internet connection is as common in
homes now as it has been in businesses for many years.
In the past, networking was a very difficult task. It required
specialized knowledge in networking hardware, software, and networking
protocols. Fortunately, that was the past, and thanks to Microsoft
Corporation and the various networking product vendors, those days
are long over. All Microsoft Windows XP versions have built-in support
for home and small office networking. You just need to become familiar
with how to set up your own home network. It is very easy to do.
All you need is the right hardware for
your situation, and any hardware networking product bearing
the Microsoft Windows XP logo should be an easy to set up Plug-N-Play
device.
I have put together some extensive tutorials covering networking
for beginners. All of my tutorials are in two formats:
- Graphical format with actual screenshots (lots of pictures)
- Text format with minimal graphics (for dial-up modem users)
The main benefits of my EasyLI Done! Series
Tutorials (covering networking):
- They are FREE!
- No need to allow strangers into your
home and access to your sensitive or private data
- Plain English - easy to follow step-by-step instructions
- Geared towards people who are new to computers (beginners)
- You set up your own home network in about 15-20 minutes, and
in the process, gain valuable knowledge of home networking
There are tons of free information on the Internet concerning
home networking, but the majority of it is too vague and difficult
for beginners to understand or follow. My EasyLI Done! Series Tutorials
were all personally developed and tested extensively by me. No more
searching the Internet hours on end for a solution that works or
paying a networking professional (about $70/hour plus other costs).
Using my EasyLI Done! Series Tutorials,
you will have your own home network setup and be sharing files and
your high-speed Internet connection between your computers within
about 15 - 20 minutes.
