Did you know? Viruses and some legitimate programs can cause damage
to, or disable the Windows System Restore feature.
Creating a System Restore Point can be a life-saver in many
situations. For example, if you install a program or a driver that
causes problems, and uninstalling it does not resolve the problems,
you can use System Restore to restore your system to the
way it was before you installed the program or driver that caused
the problems. Also, if your system becomes slow or unstable for
no apparent reason, using System Restore, you may be able
to quickly resolve the problem.
If the System Restore feature stops functioning properly,
you should manually turn it
off and then turn it back on
to restore its functionality.
