easy to follow. Although all tutorials were put together with the
novice user (beginner) in mind, advanced users will find a few tricks
to put to use also, such as 'How
to Force Windows to Shutdown' when it just won't shutdown normally.

Did you know? Installing CD or DVD writing (burning) software could
disable your AutoPlay Options.
Your AutoPlay Options are disabled so that the CD or DVD
writing software can recognize a blank disc when inserted into the

How to Change
the AutoPlay Options for Your CD or DVD Drive
You can make programs start automatically each time you insert
a CD or DVD. For example, if you want Windows Media Player to start
each time you insert a music cd, just set the AutoPlay options on
the cd or dvd drive to make it happen.
Here's how to change the AutoPlay Options for Your CD or DVD
Drive:

Step 1: With the left mouse button, click on the 'Start'
button.
Step 2: With the left mouse button, click on 'My Computer'.
Step 3: With the right mouse
button, click on the drive letter or icon for your 'CD' or
'DVD' drive.
Step 4: With the left mouse button, click on 'Properties'.
Step 5: With the left mouse button, click on the 'AutoPlay'
tab.
Step 6: With the left mouse button, click on the
(dropdown arrow).
Step 7: With the left-mouse button, click on a disk type
in the dropdown list.
Step 8: Below 'Actions', select the setting 'Select
an action to perform:', by clicking on the circle with the left
mouse button (A green dot will appear in the circle, indicating
it has been selected.).
Step 9: With the left-mouse button, click on 'Play Audio
CD using Windows Media Player'.
Step 10: With the left mouse button, click on the 'OK'
button.
Windows Media Player will now automatically start playing Music
CDs, when you insert them in the drive, for which properties you
have set.
