How to Check
the Available Free Space on All of Your CDROM, DVD and Hard Drives
You can check the free space available on your hard disk drives
in many ways, but there is one quick way to view the free
space on all drives and partitions at once!
Here's how to check the available free space on all
of your disk drives at once:

Step 1: With the left mouse button, click on the 'Start'
button.
|
|
Step 2: With the left mouse button, click on 'My Computer'.
|
|
Step 3: With the left mouse button, click on 'View'
on the menu bar.
|
|
Step 4: With the left mouse button, click on 'Details'.
|
|
Step 5: The amount of free space on all hard disk drives
and partitions is displayed under the 'Free Space' column.
Special Note For 'Devices
with Removable Storage': If 'Free Space'
is not equal to zero (0) bytes, then the cd or dvd media
in that drive cannot be read on all computers or cd or dvd players,
because the media has not been finalized!

Step 6: With the left mouse button, click on the 
(Close) button at the top right corner of the window to close
the 'My Computer' window, when you are done viewing the free
space.

You have now learned a quick way to check the available free space
on all of your drives and partitions at once.
