How to Increase
the Size of the Command Prompt Window
You can increase the size of the command prompt window, to be
able to view more output in the window.
Here's how to increase the size of the Command Prompt window:

Step 1: With the left mouse button, click on the 'Start'
button.
|

Step 2: With the left mouse button, click on 'Run'.
|
|
Step 3: In the text box next to 'Open:', type cmd.
|
|
Step 4: With the left mouse button, click on the 'OK'
button.
|
|
Step 5: The Command Prompt Window appears.
|
|
Step 6: With the left mouse button, click on the
(Command Prompt icon), located at the top left corner of
the Command Prompt Window.

Step 7: With the left-mouse button, click on 'Properties'.
|
|
Step 8: With the left-mouse button, click on the 'Layout'
tab.
|
|
Step 9: Below Screen Buffer Size, with the left-mouse
button, double-click on the
number (to highlight it) in the text box to the right of 'Width'.
|
| Step 10: In the text box, type a new
number. For example, 120. |
| Step 11: Below Screen Buffer Size,
with the left-mouse button, double-click
on the number (to highlight it) in the text box to the right of 'Height'. |
| Step 12: In the text box, type a new
number. For example, 300. |
| Step 13: Below Window Size,
with the left-mouse button, double-click
on the number (to highlight it) in the text box to the right of 'Width'. |
| Step 14: In the text box, type a new
number. For example, 120. |
| Step 15: Below Window Size,
with the left-mouse button, double-click
on the number (to highlight it) in the text box to the right of 'Height'. |

number. For example, 75. |
| Step 17: With the left mouse button,
click on the 'OK' button. |
| Step 18: The 'Apply Properties'
dialog box appears. |
| Step 19: Select 'Save properties
for future windows with same title', by clicking on the circle
with the left mouse button (A black dot will appear in the circle,
indicating it has been selected.). |

Step 20: With the left mouse button, click on the 'OK'
button.

The size of the Command Prompt window has now been increased.
